Superstorm Sandy wreaked havoc on the Northeast this week. We are pleased to share that our service continues to operate despite the challenges posed by this storm.

Hi folks - Akeem B. from the Patient Operations team here. I feel very lucky to be working with an incredible team of individuals whose passion for, umm, "self-expression" sometimes rivals my own. Surrounded by such thrillingly unique folks is what makes work so fun. It also ignites my curiosity about these talented Zoctopians, so I decided to sit down with a few of my new friends to find out a little more.

Ever wonder who's working behind the scenes to make ZocDoc run? Wonder no more. Meet Operations Manager Matt, who joined the ZocDoc family as an Associate in 2010. A graduate of NYU, Matt is a big theater fan… and is admired ZocDoc-wide for his awesome bowtie collection.

I recently returned to ZocDoc after a few months away, and I couldn’t be happier to be back. (I’m also happy to have a shiny new green card, but that’s another story). Since my return, every person I’ve met in the hallways has welcomed me home with open arms. Home seems like a strong word to describe your workplace, but that's how I feel coming back to ZocDoc.

We need access to procedures and technologies, yes, but we also deserve to feel seen, listened to, and cared for…with empathy and imagination.”
