It turns out that heart disease is a bigger problem than just about anyone expected. Yesterday the CDC reported that almost half of all adults in the United States have one or more of the following: high cholesterol, high blood pressure, or diabetes. Very often, heart disease is preventable -  it's just a matter of choice. From 1999 -2006 (the years covered by the CDC report), it looks like we were making some questionable choices. Today, we're making some new ones. Here are our plans for preventing heart disease:

Today we learned that ZocDoc has been selected as an Official Honoree for the Health Category! Needless to say, we're thrilled.

This morning we discovered that another website has reared its creepy-looking head to try and compete with ZocDoc. While ZocDoc has always helped you find quality doctors, this new company has much, much cheaper alternatives. And couldn't they have come up with a more original name?
